Intense exercise good for Diabetics

A recent study conducted in the US revealed that short but intense amounts of exercise can be beneficial to patients with type 2 diabetes.

In the research, eight patients with type 2 diabetes exercised at a very high intensity for approximately 30 minutes per week. This resulted in reduced blood sugar concentrations, lower spikes in blood sugar levels after meals and improving skeletal mitochondrial capacity; an indicator or metabolic health.

It is well known that regular exercise among other benefits is instrumental in preventing and treating type 2 diabetes. Given the busy schedules of most individuals, short intense amounts of exercise may be the answer to accumulating sufficient exercise to obtain such health benefits. Check here for more information.
